River East Ranga

Beat 7The river East Ranga is located on the southcoast of Iceland about 2 km west of the town Hvolsvöllur and about 13 km east of her big sister West Ranga.

East Ranga is a big river on Icelandic scale, it is also cold and best equipment to use are double handed rods with sinking tips, short leaders and heavy tubes.

East Range has nine beats with a lot of deep pools, long streams and calm mirrors which all contain a lot of salmons.

Beat 7Daily fishing time is from 07:00 to 13:00 -16:00 to 22:00 and there are 18 rods in the whole the river, two rods on each beat.

Salmon season starts 1st of july and ends 4th of october each year.
